About Eric Voigt
Based in Hood River, OR, and San Juanico, Mexico, Eric has been painting what he sees in plein air for four decades. Inspiration is found all around him in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon Coast, Baja Mexico, and many areas in between with open air and moving bodies of water. He uses oil on canvas and wood in sizes ranging from porthole to picture window. While waves are his favourite subject, he holds strong fascinations with landscapes and the people that live on them.
Eric is a chiropractor by day with a focus on connections between body and brain. This connection ties together his worlds of physical health with a healthy mind that is nourished by connections with nature. This is revealed through his art.
Above everything else, his wife and three sons feed inspiration to his art, work and life every day.
